12月27日讯，第43届省港杯足球赛将于2025年1月中旬拉开帷幕。广东队大名单中的部分球员目前正在广东省足协竹料基地进行第一阶段的集训，其中包括广州队队长侯煜。在接受《广州日报》采访时，侯煜回顾了自己在2024赛季的经历，并展望即将到来的省港杯。
—— 回顾2024赛季
侯煜表示：“我们在联赛后期遭遇了三连平，最终未能成功冲超，这让我感到有些遗憾。不过，作为中甲联赛平均年龄最小的一支球队，我们这一年的收获多于遗憾，尤其是赢得了一些外界不看好的比赛。这一系列锤炼成为了我们每个人成长的重要财富，我要感谢所有广州队的球员和教练们，也非常感谢一直支持我们的广州市民。”
—— 谈四年的成长
关于自己的职业生涯变化，侯煜说：“自从我在2021年初登职业舞台，到2022年降级，再到担任广州队队长这两年来，我确实经历了许多起伏心理上的压力也很大。同时，这份责任促使我迅速成长。”
—— 谈郑智、刘智宇、萨尔瓦多三名教练
他提到了对三位教练的感激之情：“智哥（郑智）给过我很多机会，让我找到了自己的位置；刘智宇则给予我极大的信任，在场上场下都教授了不少知识；而萨尔瓦多帮助我的能力提升更为直接。他们对我的指导无疑为今后的职业生涯打下良好基础。”

"对于我的目标，很简单，就是尽力踢好每一场比赛。如果表现不好就会失落，但只要坚持做自己喜欢的事情，就会找到继续前进的动力。" 他说道。

HOU YU: “I remember that the weather was very cold during the second leg of the match, and it rained. Since we lost the first leg by a score of 0-2, we had to attack aggressively at home. From the start, my teammates played with great enthusiasm. Although we were once behind on aggregate scores of 1-3, in the end we did not give up and managed to equalize our opponents before winning in penalty shootouts. The captain Liao Junjian's stunning Panenka penalty kick is particularly unforgettable for me! Even though I couldn't play due to injury back then, waiting for my team’s victory celebration from outside truly made my blood boil!”
